ORANGE COUNTY, Fla (WOFL FOX 35) - Troopers have made an arrest in a deadly hit-and-run investigation, stemming from an incident on the evening of April 19 in Christmas.
Thomas Norris, 35, is accused of ramming a Lincoln Navigator into the back of a moped driven by Lazaro Adorno-Morales, 20. Adorno-Morales died from his injuries.
Troopers say Norris was driving along State Road 50 in a stolen SUV when he struck Adorno-Morales. The day after the deadly crash, troopers discovered the stolen SUV, which had been set on fire. Tips from the community led to the arrest.
Norris has had a revoked driver's license since September of 2004. He has been booked into Orange County Jail and was expected to make a first appearance before a judge on Friday afternoon.
