Loose cattle cause 3 separate crashes in New Smyrna

Floriday Highway Patrol Troopers say cattle that escaped from a nearby farm caused at least three separate crashes early Tuesday morning on State Road 44 in New Smyrna.
Troopers said in all three accidents, the vehicles hit cows in the roadway near Cucumber Lane, which is just west of New Smyrna Beach.
No motorists were seriously injured in the crashes, but four cows were killed.
The driver of a 2013 Nissan Titan hit 3 cows.
FHP says the cows came from the nearby Whispering Palms Farms.
Investigators say it is unclear how the cattle escaped the farm.
