DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Two women and a man were shot at Carolina Club Apartments at 124 Carolina Lake Drive in Daytona Beach, Police Chief Michael Chitwood told FOX 35 News. The two women, who are college students, have died. Both women were shot in the head. The man was taken to Halifax Medical Center "in grave condition," authorities said.
Police have identified York Zed Bodden, 27, as the suspect in these shootings. Detectives said there was some sort of argument over payment of rent money involving the victims and Bodden, and that altercation quickly turned violent.
"He's killed two people. He attempted to kill the third one who to this point survived. He knows this isn't a secret. Everybody knew who this guy was. It was just a matter of getting him positively identified, so he is to be considered armed and dangerous," said Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood. "Don't confont him. If you know anything about him, we ask you to call the police right away. Prior to me coming here, we already got a tip that we're following up on right now."
