U.S. Marshals capture escaped Volusia prisoner in Kentucky

FOX 35 News at 10 p.m.

A Volusia County prisoner who escaped custody in late January has been captured in Kentucky.  Gary Bullock Jr., 24, was located by U.S. Marshals and agents with the Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

Bullock was with his girlfriend, Natasha Quigley, 24, and her 3-year-old son, Xander. The three were found around 3:30 p.m. and apprehended without incident, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.  All are safe with no injuries to report.

Volusia County deputies said Bullock Jr. was serving an eight-year prison sentence for robbery, grand theft, burglary and possession of a controlled substance and was being housed at the work release center, operated by the Tomoka Correctional Institution.
Bullock left the facility on the morning of January 22, to report to his job at the El Caribe Resort and Conference Center in Daytona Beach Shores.  Before he left the hotel for the day, Bullock cut off his ankle monitor and threw it into the parking lot.  Authorities believe Bullock was picked up by Quigley, before the pair took off with the child in a white, 2010 Chevy Cobalt.
The child is in protective custody until arrangements are made to place him in the care of family. Bullock faces charges of escape, destruction of an electronic monitor and criminal mischief. Quigley faces a charge of aiding escape. Additional charges are anticipated.
