MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Marion County deputies said they interrupted an attempted robbery to an internet cafe Saturday night.
Deputies said they were doing surveillance on businesses because of recent armed robberies that have been happening in Marion County.
At around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, detectives with the Sheriff's Office saw two masked gunmen approaching an internet cafe at 1043 NE 14th Street in Ocala.
The detectives intervened before the armed robbers could go in and the men fled in a get-away care nearby, officials said.
Deputies said they arrested 22-year-old Tlarence Munnerlyn before he could get into the car.
21-year-old William Jackson and 23-year-old Toney Cobb, who deputies said was the get-away driver, fled the scene.
Deputies said they initiated a pursuit and after about two miles, they were able to stop the car using their PIT maneuver at NW 10th Street.
Jackson was arrested and Cobb fled on foot, deputies said. Cobb was caught a short time later after the Sheriff's office chopper found him hiding.
Deputies took all three to the Marion County jail and they are investigating to see if they are connected to other robberies in the area, officials said.
