Florida ranks high in railroad fatalities

Shocking numbers reveal Florida ranks as one of the top states with railroad fatalities.
Now there's a nation-wide movement to inform everyone about the dangers.
This all comes as investigators try to piece together a deadly train incident that killed 51-year-old Thomas Walter Kelley in Brevard County.
It happened Tuesday night on the Florida East Coast Railway train trestle near Melbourne Avenue in Melbourne.
Officials say 85 people killed from 1995-2014 from Jacksonville to Miami.
Florida is 8th in the nation when it comes to crossing fatalities and nationally a train hits a person or car every three hours
Officials say you can expect to see an increased presence around crossings in the next couple of weeks thanks to the train safety awareness group "Operation Lifesaver".
Volunteers from the group will be passing out brochures reminding people to be careful.
