Trump holds several rallies accross Sunshine State

TAMPA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - It was vintage Donald Trump at a campaign event in Tampa on Monday.

The Republican presidential candidate used the first day of Florida’s early voting to strike a tone of defiance. Trump wrapped up his day at the Midflorida Amphitheater in Tampa after making campaign stops throughout the I-4 corridor. “Go out and vote!” Trump said at the rally, to a crowd of about 10,000 supporters, “vote tomorrow, vote the next day! But definitely vote and if you haven't voted by November 8th get out and vote. We have to vote.”

He outlined his presidential plan.

“We're going to have smart trade policies, policies where we don't lose our jobs, smart energy policies to create 20 million new jobs.”

He also took shots at Hillary Clinton.

“The best evidence that the system is rigged is that Hillary Clinton, despite her many crimes, was even allowed to run for president in the first place,” he said, to thunderous applause.

And, he also targeted journalists.

“These people are among the most dishonest in the world... the media!”

This led to a heated confrontation after the speech, when the crowd turned on reporters, with security keeping the angry trump fans from getting too close for comfort.  Other fans through, were more civil and said they're happy with Trump's message, and not put-off by recent polls showing Trump trailing Hillary by double-digits.

“I thought it was absolutely wonderful, and it should let the whole world know we're not out of the game. We're still going to win,” said Trump supporter Gail Burnich.

Trump also pledged to bring home the bacon for Florida if elected, saying he'd bring jobs to the state's Space Coast and military bases.
