SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A Sanford woman was found dead in her apartment and police have arrested two men in connection to the case.
At around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sanford Police responded to the Hatteras Sound Apartments to do a well-being check on Latrice Randolph. An arrest report shows Randolph's mother and apartment manager first went inside and found two unfamiliar black men who appeared to be living there and who then later ran off.
Sanford Police responded to the scene and found Randolph's body in a closet. Officers set up a perimeter and eventually tracked down the two men who they say are Jimmie and Jeremiah Elliott.
Investigators believe Jimmie Elliott stabbed Randolph to death and it may have been because of a disagreement.
Jimmie Elliott is being charged with first degree murder and Jeremiah Elliott is being charged with obstructing justice because police say he knew about the murder but didn't report it. Both are being held without bond at the Seminole County Jail.
