WATCH: How to make Google forget your embarrassing search history

What's the last thing you googled? Something embarrassing? There's a new tool to make google forget all about it.

- Google knows our deepest, most tragic secrets ("how many calories in chili cheese fries?" "What is Coachella?") - but now there's finally a way to make our search history "forget." Google records everything you type for speed and convenience- and to make loads of money from targeted ads. But if you'd rather not see reminders about your recent maladies via ads for rash cream, you'll love the new "my activity" tool.

After you sign in, the searchable timeline shows you everything Google has on you- and gives you the option to hit "delete." You can get rid of individuals items- or that entire month you internet stalked your ex. Or you can scorch the earth and select delete "all time" and get a clean slate.

You can also manage your privacy by “pausing” data collection. Google will stop saving your searches, your location history, and every single cat video you've ever watched on Youtube.

The only downside- aside from a slight loss in profit for Google- is that it won't be as easy to search for things near you- and you'll still see ads. They'll just be totally random. But surely it's worth it if you don't want Google remembering you wanted to know "How tall is Justin Bieber?" Ah, finally we can truly Google in private.
