An Altamonte Springs woman has been indicted in the death of her son.

The Seminole County Grand Jury on Tuesday issued the first-degree premeditated murder indictment, charging Virginia Arteaga, 60, in the Feb. 22 shooting death of  Blake Howard, 29.

Assistant State Attorney Dan Faggard presented the case to the grand jurors who heard testimony from an Altamonte Springs Police Detective before returning the indictment.

Howard’s body was found in the home the two shared on Post Oak Circle.  Authorities said Arteaga shot Howard while was in the bathtub.  Arteaga has been held in the Seminole County jail without bond since her arrest on Feb. 23.
