More than a dozen children were injured in an accident involving a bus from an Ocala-area church.
Officials said that two church buses from Blessed Trinity Catholic School were traveling through Atlanta, when one of the buses rear-ended the other. The accident occurred in Gwinnett County, approximately 20 miles northeast of Atlanta.
Eighteen kids were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, including cuts and neck and back pain, MyFoxAtlanta.com is reporting. Their ages ranged from 10 to 16, according to Gwinnett County Police. Additional buses were brought to the scene to take the uninjured children to their hotel.
Three lanes of traffic along Interstate 85 were closed for two hours following the accident which happened around 1 p.m.
