MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A pickup truck was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning in Ocala. The fire also damaged a home.
It happened just after 9:00 a.m. at a home located at 1151 Northeast 12th Street. When Ocala Fire Rescue arrived at the home they found the truck parked in the driveway fully involved with flames extending into the house.
Fire officials say there was no one at home at the time of the fire and neighbors called 911. Fire crews were able to put the blaze out quickly keeping damage to the house to a minimum.
A fire inspector estimated fire damage to the home at $5,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
