Sanford Police say Reginald Hadley and Anecia Inman picked out a Deltona two people to rob, as the couple was putting groceries in their car.
Surveillance video taken on June 27 at the Sam's Club in Sanford shows a white Buick driving around, then stopping by a retired couple, Carol and Chuck Iannuzzi. You then see a woman sneak behind the couple as the driver, Hadley, repeatedly asks for directions. Police say that woman was Inman.
Carol Iannuzzi says, "This white Buick pulled up and this gentleman asked for directions to the Walmart. We told him four times how to get to Walmart. all of a sudden it was like a light came on and he drove away. I turned to go get in car and as I looked I saw my purse was missing."
The man in the Buick circled the lot again and then picked up the woman and drove off. The Iannuzzis realized the purse had been stolen, only after putting their groceries in the trunk and getting into their car.
Sanford police officers found Hadley less than an hour later. As of Wednesday afternoon, they were still looking for Inman. Both have criminal histories.
