WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

West Melbourne police officers said an accused purse snatcher was tackled to the ground by three bystanders who responded to the victim's screams.

The incident happened on Saturday at a Walmart located at 845 Palm Bay Road.  A 57-year-old woman was pushing a shopping cart which contained groceries and her purse through the parking lot.  As the victim was loading the groceries into her vehicle, a man grabbed her purse and fled.

Hearing the victim's screams for help, three Good Samaritans tracked the suspect down in the parking lot of the nearby Chick-fil-A.  They then held him on the ground until the police arrived.

The suspect is identified as Lee Allen Tacke, 30.  He was arrested on a charge of robbery by sudden snatching and taken to the Brevard County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
