EUSTIS, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit and run which occurred Wednesday morning in Eustis. The incident happened near the intersection of County Road44A and Osprey Lane around 10:30 a.m.
Troopers said Douglas Coven was walking westbound along CR 44A when an unknown vehicle
traveling westbound struck him. Coven, 61, died at the scene.
Investigators said the hit and run vehicle is possibly a burgundy mid-size sedan with damage to the front right of the car.
