SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A hearing has been scheduled for Friday morning in the trial of George Zimmerman. His lawyer is disputing a subpoena regarding Zimmerman's medical records.

The hearing before Judge Kenneth Lester will be held in Courtroom 5 B. Zimmerman will not be present.

"We object to the State's request for additional medical records, as there has been no showing of relevance, or that these records would lead to discoverable, relevant information," said Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara. "We have agreed to review the records and voluntarily disclose what may be relevant."

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder for shooting Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old, in Sanford on Feb. 26. Zimmerman has claimed that he acted in self-defense.
