DELAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

DeLand Police and Fire on Tuesday responded to the DeLand Airport for an airplane that had flipped over on landing.

A 1977 Cessna 152 (single engine) aircraft being piloted by Natascha Wuench was landing when for an undetermined reason flipped over and came to rest on its roof just off the runway in the grass. The pilot was able to get out of the overturned plane and suffered what appears to be a minor injury. She was taken to Florida Hospital DeLand.

There were high winds and rain at the time of the incident which are believed to have been a factor.

The FAA was notified and are responding from Orlando. The investigation will be turned over to the FAA, and they should be contacted for further details.
