WINTER GARDEN, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Orange County sheriff's deputies have identified and arrested a man whom they say is responsible for shooting that has a left a 15-year-old Orlando girl clinging to life.
Tyrone Mosby, 19, was arrested on two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Mosby was located in Winter Garden early Wednesday evening and taken into custody following brief pursuit during which Mosby crashed a car he was driving, then fled on foot into an apartment complex.
The shooting victim, Danielle Sampson, remains hospitalized in critical condition. Sampson was riding in the back seat of a minivan with her family when she was struck by a stray bullet from a nearby shooting. She was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, then to Arnold Palmer Hospital where she has been since June 29, when the shooting occurred.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Mosby has had numerous arrests for felony crimes, including attempted murder, robbery, and aggravated battery.
