ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The man who had been named as a "person of interest" in an Orange County murder has now been formally charged.
Kristofer Gould, 34, was arrested in Daytona Beach on Wednesday. He was taken into custody on unrelated charges, including overnight camping on the beach, carrying a concealed firearm, and giving law enforcement a false name.
Gould now faces a first degree murder charge out of Orange County in the shooting death of 46-year-old Jorgete Acarie.
Gould is the ex-boyfriend of Jorgete and father of her two-year old son, according to the victim's sister. The child was found next his mother's body early Sunday morning, unharmed.
