Daytona Beach police are investigating a possible ATM skimmer at a Publix grocery store on N. Atlantic Avenue.
Police say a customer told store staff the ATM wasn't working. The Publix manager told police he believed the ATM had been tampered with, and video surveillance outside the building shows a man who appears to put something onto the machine about 9:30 a.m. Police think the same guy came back at around 12:45 p.m. and removed the unknown object.
Police ask that anyone who used the ATM between 9:30 a.m. and about 12:45 p.m. to check their accounts for suspicious activity.
Anyone with information about the incident, or any victims of unauthorized access, can contact the Daytona Beach Police Department at 386-671-5100.
