Agents looking for man accused of stealing from timeshare owners

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) are looking for Herald Blue.  Blues is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from timeshare holders.  Investigators said he promised them he would list and sell their properties for a fee of $400 to $1,000.

"These were legitimate people trying to sell their properties," said FDLE Special Agent in Charge Danny Banks.  "He got them to invest money with him, all the while, intending just to walk away with it."

FDLE started investigating after getting dozens of complaints from property owners in Volusia, mostly along the coast.  Investigators said Blue was well educated in the system.  Blue used to work for a time share company. Investigators said he had real documents with the wrong intentions.

Agents said there are signs to look out for to avoid becoming a victim of a crime like this.  Banks said, "When a person representing a sales agency comes to you with an ad that may be too good to be true, verify that they are licensed through the State of Florida, and in fact, employed by a reputable agency. This guy was not."

If you have information about Herald Blue's whereabouts, call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
