Orlando police said a man was hit by a stray bullet while driving on Interstate 4.
According to a police report, the unidentified man was traveling with his wife west on I-4 near John Young Parkway early Saturday evening, when he received non-life threatening injuries from the stray round. Police believe the bullet likely came from a stray round from a nearby neighborhood and that the victim was not targeted.
The man told police he felt a sharp pain in his arm and then realized he had been shot. On the way to the hospital, the couple stopped when they spotted a fire rescue crew on the side of the road.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office had responded to a call earlier in the day of shots being fired in a neighborhood next to the Interstate.
