Authorities say 20-yearold Caleb Kraft and 25-year-old David Butts were rescued Friday morning after calling the Coast Guard Station Ponce Inlet using their cell phone.

The two were found standing on concrete pilings under a bridge. They were not injured, and only one of them had a life jacket.

Boaters and swimmers are being advised to check conditions and the surf before they decide to go on the water.

A small craft advisory remains in effect as Hurricane Sandy brushes Florida's coast.   The bulk of the storm will stay away from Florida and will eventually head up the East Coast.   Sandy is expected to turn inland around Maryland and bring upwards of 10 inches of rain to the area, with snow likely in the higher elevations.
