OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Two teachers from Poinciana High School have been reassigned to another school a day after their arrests.   Osceola County deputies said one is accused of child abuse, while the other failed to report the alleged incident.

Bianca Vacek, 51, is accused of burning the face of a 12-year-old boy with a lighter.  She faces charges of aggravated child abuse, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest without violence.  Investigators said her husband, Thomas Vacek, who is also a teacher, is charged with failure to report child abuse and resisting arrest without violence.  Both were booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Deputies took a report of the alleged child abuse on Tuesday.  They spoke with the victim's mother who said she noticed what appeared to be a burn mark on her son's face. The victim was staying with the Vaceks for the past week.  According to investigators, he told his mother that, while Bianca was intoxicated, she burned him with a cigarette lighter.

The Sheriff's Office said a doctor determined that the victim received burn marks near his mouth and nose.

Bianca Vacek has been with the district since 2006, while her husband has worked for the district since 1984.  School administrators said she teaches special education and he is the school's 10th grade reading instructor.
