Orlando Police have arrested a man in the death of a woman whose body was found wrapped in a blanket last week.
Asmick Rosseau, 36, made his first appearance before a judge Thursday morning on charges of first degree murder after investigators say he strangled his girlfriend, Kindall Keith, 49, last week.
"Don't make any sense really to me, why it happened," said Al Dickens, the victim's grandfather.
Dickens says his close-knit family is still in shock over his granddaughter's murder.
"I hate it happened, and it shouldn't have happened like that -- she's a good person," Dickens said.
According to the arrest warrant, Rosseau and Keith had a tumultuous relationship since November 2011, and he had allegedly told members of her family he would kill her if she ever cheated on him.
Investigators said her body was found partially clothed and wrapped in a blanket near the suspect's home nearly a week ago.
"It's a sad time for any family to lose a family member, especially, on the circumstances," Dickens said.
Rosseau is being held without bond at the Orange County Jail.
