Report: Mom shot 5 times in Orlando-area slaying, evidence shows

Newly released evidence in the case of a mother found slain in her Dr. Phillips-area home reveals she had been shot at least five times, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

Jorgete Acarie, 43, was shot five times -- twice in the head -- while her 2-year-old son lay in bed next to her, the website reports.

The more than 600 pages of evidence also say the Orange County deputy who responded to the Forest Run Lane home on the morning of the Aug. 26, 2012, slaying had responded to prior reports of violence there.

Acarie's ex-boyfriend, Kristofer Gould, is charged with first-degree murder in the case and is being held at the Orange County Jail without bail.
