PHOENIX -
A valley food bank is working to help the Navajo Nation recover from an unfortunate effect of harsh winter weather.
The Navajo Nation has declared a disaster situation because frozen pipes have decreased their water supply.
St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance is stepping in and delivering a truckload of bottled water and a truckload of Gatorade to help thousands affected.
The food bank expects more water and drinks will be needed in the future while the nation waits for their water availability to be restored.
