DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Firefighters are mopping up a 64-acre brush fire west of Daytona Beach. The fire was reported at 12:30 p.m. in a wooded area south of State Road 40 and east of Clark Bay Road.
The Florida Forest Service, Volusia County Fire Services, Daytona Beach Fire Department and Flagler County's FireFlight responded and established lines around the fire.
No homes were threatened, and no injuries were reported. The fire is contained, but it may create smoky conditions along U.S. 92 tonight and tomorrow morning.
The Florida Forest Service is investigating the cause.
