NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

At least ten boats at the Angler's Club in New Smyrna Beach were burglarized recently, but thanks to some really good surveillance video and one boat owner, a suspect is now behind bars.

Police said 51-year-old Michael Alderman is accused of stealing televisions, fishing equipment, tracing devices and GPS systems from boat after boat.

"We believe this guy would steal stuff and bring it to a woodsy lot next door, then get it later," said Sgt. Eugene Griffith with the New Smyrna Beach Police.

A boat owner tipped police off to Alderman's whereabouts, and he was taken into custody and booked into the Volusia County Jail.

Officers said this isn't the first time alderman has been accused of burglary.  He just got out of prison for comminuting a home break-in but was shot several times by the homeowner.
