Governor Chris Christie lashed out at a former White House doctor because she publicly criticized his weight.
Dr. Connie Mariano, who lives in Arizona, told CNN that she would like to see the New Jersey governor run for president in 2016, but that she's worried he'll "die in office" because he's so heavy.
Christie later described himself as "remarkably healthy" but acknowledged his doctor "continues to warn me that my luck is going to run out relatively soon."
So, is it possible to be overweight AND fit?
Dr. Donald Bucklin with U.S. Healthworks says "yes." He says a recent study of almost 2.8 million people found that being a little bit heavy may have some advantages.
Plus, being heavy isn't the only risk factor when it comes to medical problems; age, sex and genetics, also play a large role.
