Sanford man attacked and robbed inside home

SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Sanford police are seeking information on a home invasion incident, during which a man was pistol-whipped and robbed.

Officers responded to a home on San Lanta Circle shortly around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning after the victim reported that four masked men who were all dressed in black forced him inside his home.  The victim said one of the men attempted to shoot at him but missed.

According to the victim, whose identity has not been released, the suspects then stole some personal items from the home and fled.

The victim refused an ambulance and was treated on scene for cuts and abrasions.  A K9 unit was called out to help track the suspects but was unable to pick up a trail.
