APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. -

An Apache Junction man who was accused of photographing and molesting juvenile males has been sentenced to 27 years in prison.

The investigation began back into August of 2012 after a family friend of Neil Anderson reported finding 29 photographs of young boys in sexually explicit positions.

Apache Junction police were able to identify these boys and determine that the photos were taken at an address in Apache Junction.

Officers interviewed the victims, who said they were befriended by Anderson and received gifts from him. They were all children of family friends and referred to Anderson as "Uncle Neil." They even went camping with him.

A search warrant was issued and evidence was seized from Anderson's home. He admitted to both photographing and molesting the boys.

He pleaded guilty to one count of sexual conduct with a minor and four counts of attempted molestation of a child.

Anderson was sentenced to 27 years in prison without parole. He will serve lifetime probation as a sex offender.
