KINGMAN, Ariz. -

Deputies arrested a 36-year-old man on Tuesday after a 14-year-old girl reported he sexually abused her.

A teenage student at a Kingman school told staff members Matthew James McDermott had allegedly inappropriately touched her.

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives say McDermott had sexually abused the girl twice during the week.

Deputies found McDermott at his home in the 3200 block of Thunderbird Canyon Road and took him in for questioning.

According to detectives, McDermott admitted to inappropriately touching the girl.

McDermott was taken into custody and faces charges of two counts of sexual abuse.
