The Washington Monument is getting a facelift.
The National Park Service released "helmet-cam" video of workers topping off the scaffolding around the monument on Monday.
The monument has been closed since August of 2011, when Washington was struck by a 5.8-magnitude earthquake, leaving it with stresses and cracks throughout the entire structure.
The monument is expected to remain closed to the public until next year, as crews finish up repairs.
