A NYPD plan intended to better connect with the community seems to have backfired a bit. The police department asked its twitter followers to share pictures of themselves with New York City police officers using the hashtag "myNYPD." Some did share nice pictures, but others not so much. Some of the first pictures posted showed regular citizens standing with very friendly looking police officers.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

A family in north Scottsdale is dealing with some unwanted squatters on their property that have been there for years. But today, these little wild cats got an eviction notice as our cameras were rolling.

We're talking about a family of bobcats -- a mom and her two babies. That mom has been coming to the same house in the same neighborhood for about 8 years. But they finally had to move out.

"Is she in the tree? No she's right on the top of the fence"

Crews from Critter Ridder worked to get this mom and her two babies to a more suitable location.

"They're beautiful animals but I would hope they would find another home other than our backyard," says homeowner Sean Stutzman.

Sean Stutzman and his family just bought this house, not knowing their backyard was already inhabited by another family.

"Came over this morning and saw a full family of bobcats in our backyard."

With a young daughter and small dog -- he thought it would be best to relocate the cats.

"We're going to use the babies to lure the mom in and it should take a matter of a few hours or so," says Joe D. Wolf of Critter Ridder. "She just doesn't know what's going on she's just afraid."

"She's well known around here," says neighbor Mark Brammer.

Mark Brammer has tons of pictures on his computer, documenting the cats.

"She's been here at least 8 to 9 years. This is the time she brings her babies back in and they clear out all the rabbits," says Brammer.

Brammer says it's a bittersweet day to say goodbye to the cats.

"I'm sorry to see them leave but that's kind of the way life is."

At last check the mom had not been caught just yet -- once she is they will transport the entire family to another location outside the city.
