Straphangers who rely on the G and R subway lines to get around town will need to find alternate transportation starting as early as July.
Beginning next weekend, there will be no G train service between Brooklyn and Queens for 12 weekends.
Workers will be repairing the Greenpoint tunnel damaged by superstorm Sandy and thus impacting G line service.
Plans are in place to resume repairs for five weeks in 2014.
Also, starting in August, no R trains will run between Brooklyn and Manhattan for 14 months as crews work to repair the Montague street tunnel.
Approximately 65,000 riders use the R train.
