PALM BAY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 News) -

A 57-year-old Palm Bay man was arrested following what police are describing as a road rage incident.

Edward Lepore paid his $5,500 bond and was released from jail on Friday, but the court has ordered him to return to face charges related to accusations that he reached into the car of a 16-year-old driver and choked him for several seconds.

According to Lepore's arrest affidavit, he got into an argument with a teenage driver in Palm Bay.  The report states that the teenager gave Lepore an obscene gesture.  Lepore apparently became so angry, investigators claim, he followed and then approached the teen when he stopped.

The young driver asked Lepore why he was following him.  The affidavit states that Lepore reached into the car and choked the teen for several seconds. Afterwards, Lepore drove off, but the teen got his license plate information and went to the police department.

As a result of this alleged road rage incident with a teenager, Lepore will be arraigned in court on charges of battery and felony child abuse.
