2 bodies found in Phoenix neighborhood

PHOENIX -

Phoenix Police say they found two bodies in a neighborhood near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road, and their deaths appear to be murder-suicide.

According to Sgt. Tommy Thompson, a man and woman were found Friday, but they had been dead for several days.

"The thing that complicates it a little is the fact that these individuals have been dead for several days so that's why it will require the work of a medical examiner's office to find the cause of death," said Thompson.

Police say their preliminary investigation shows it is possibly a murder-suicide, but it is too early to be certain.

No names have been released. Police haven't said if the bodies were found inside or outside.

The Humane Society was called in to take custody of several pets in the home.
