Officials testing water in DeKalb County

Posted: Updated:

TUCKER, Ga. (AP) -- DeKalb County officials say they should know by Thursday afternoon whether to rescind a boil water advisory in the Tucker area.

County officials said a temporary fluctuation in water pressure left a portion of the county's water system below Georgia Environmental Protection Division regulations.

Officials say the water has been sampled and test results should be available Thursday afternoon.

DeKalb County officials plan to update residents on the water's status once the test results are available.

Tucker is about 15 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
