Man Creates 'Gotta Go' Alert Button For Dogs

Posted: Updated:

When you gotta go, you gotta go. And that goes for man's best friend, too.

So, a New York man is trying to make it easier for dogs to tell their owners when they need to go.

Chad Bingo has created "the gotta go" button.

He got the idea when his dog Gracie was a puppy, and she would scratch and damage the door whenever she needed to go out.

One night, Chad and his father jokingly put a Staples "Easy Button" near the door, and to their surprise, Gracie pushed it.

"We put it by the door, not expecting her to do anything, and we were at the table one day and she actually went up and pushed it. And we heard, 'That was easy!' and we just looked at each other and said, that is a great idea."

The 20-year-old college student has entered "the gotta-go button" in Walmart's "get on the shelf" competition.

And he's looking into getting new voices for the button, including some celebrities.
