When super producer Pharell Williams made his entrance at the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show, he was on a bike and accompanied by BMX champ Nigel Sylvester.

The Queens native made a stop at the Good Day studios on Tuesday to talk about his growing brand and how bikers are in the limelight more than ever before.

"I was a hyper kid. One morning I was watching TV and saw it and thought this is the coolest thing ever. I never looked back," said Sylvester who is sponsored by Nike and Gatorade.

A BMX (which stands for bicycle motorcross) is usually done standing and with no brakes.
