"Oh sweet Lorraine, I wish we could do the good times all over again. Oh sweet Lorraine, life only goes around once, but never again." These are words from 96-year-old Fred Stobaugh's song that's become a viral video on YouTube.

Stobaugh wrote this about his wife of 72 years, who passed away at age of 91. He remembers when they first met in 1938.

"She was just the prettiest girl I ever saw," Stobaugh says in the mini-documentary A Letter From Fred. "Real timid-like, but I fell in love with her right there."

Stobaugh wrote the song about his wife as part of Green Shoe Studio's singer-songwriter competition. According to Jacob Colgan, the producer at Green Shoe Studio, the contest was online, and videos were supposed to be uploaded. To his surprise, he got a large manila envelope from Stobaugh. It was his submission for the contest. In the letter, he admitted that he wasn't a very good singer. But through the lyrics, Colgan saw how much passion and genuine love Stobaugh had for his wife.

"After she passed away…it just came to me," describes Stobaugh on how he wrote the song. "It seemed like it just fit her."

So Green Shoe Studio decided to turn the lyrics to life. They set the music to professional music and had a professional musician sing the tune.

"Our mission here at Green Shoe Studio is to change our community one dream at a time," explains Stobaugh.

And now, the video and mini-documentary of the song "Sweet Lorraine" has accumulated more than a million hits on YouTube, and is also available for purchase on iTunes.

Even though the song didn't meet the criteria for the singer-songwriter contest, it's been turned into something even better, a hymn to a lifetime.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
