Shark bites teen swimming in New Smyrna Beach

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A 13-year-old Melbourne girl was bitten by a shark while swimming at New Smyrna Beach on Thursday.  It happened around 1 p.m.

She suffered minor lacerations to her ankle, was treated at the scene and then transported to Bert Fish Medical Center.
