FOX 29 Getting Results At Dangerous Feltonville Intersection

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

FOX 29 is getting results for residents of one Philadelphia neighborhood who say they desperately needed help with a dangerous intersection.

A week ago today, a little girl waiting for her school bus was almost hit by a car in Philadelphia's Feltonville section. Police say a drunk driver knocked down the stop sign he blew through.

Neighbors say they've been asking for a traffic study for years.

They rallied on Monday. But still, the stop sign was not replaced.

And Thursday night, a woman says she was in an accident because of it.

"A school bus cut us off and tore the front bumper off my car," Amanda Green said.

We contacted the streets department. It says it plans to replace the stop sign Saturday.

And the office of Councilwoman Maria Quinones Sanchez tells us they've visited the intersection and recently got the ball rolling for a traffic study.
