Victim in Apopka stabbing ID'd


A woman who was stabbed multiple times early Saturday morning in Apopka and left for dead has been identified. 

Amy Ruth Gray, 45, remains at Orlando Regional Medical Center having suffered severe stabbing injuries to the neck.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on September 14, Orange County sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a woman lying in the road bleeding.  Gray was discovered in the middle of the intersection of Walker Road and Section Drive.  She was airlifted to ORMC in critical condition.

Investigators say the case is active and remains open.  No further information is being released at this time.
