FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says it will ask prosecutors to charge a 25-year-old Maricopa man with manslaughter in connection with an accident in which his 6-year-old son was killed.

The Sheriff's Office says Jose Espinoza and his 6-year-old son Isaiah weren't wearing seatbelts and that both were ejected from a pickup truck in the Friday evening accident.

The office says it suspects that Espinoza was impaired by both alcohol and marijuana.

According to the office, the pickup veered off a road and then flipped and rolled after the driver attempt to steer back onto the roadway.

Espinoza was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The office says he has not been arrested pending results of tests on blood samples.

It's not immediately known whether Espinoza has an attorney.
