FOX Fursday: Delaware Humane Association

Posted: Updated:

For the 23rd year, The Delaware Humane Association is hosting their walk for the animals in Wilmington. The event is called Tails around the Tower.

This will be the second year that the event will take place in Rock Ford Park. That's also where the Wilmington Flower Market is every year, and it is a beautiful location.

MIKE Rossi of WSTW will be hosting the event. The whole goal of the event is to raise money for a new facility, operations, as well as the day-to-day work. The new facility will be done in about a year from now.

The Delaware Humane Association has a no-kill shelter. At full capacity, they can house up to 40 dogs and about 100 cats. Besides sheltering, the association also educates people about spaying and neutering.

Next, two cute animals were presented. The first girl is named, Mandy. She's a four years old beagle that and needs a new home.

Second animal is Alex. Alex is a one-year-old Chihuahua who's also up for adoption right now. He is really friendly, he likes to smell everything and he even gives kisses.

Another reason to come to the event: the weather will be good. It rained the past two years.

Go to MYFOXPHILLY.COM for more information on how to adopt the two dogs.
