DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

All lanes on Interstate 85 have reopened after two days of repairs.

The Georgia Department of Transportation says drainage problems led them to close the two inside lanes of the road near Clairmont Road on Monday.

They say a huge crater opened up when the a drain failed and the road collapsed under the interstate. Crews worked continuously overnight trying to repair the damage.

Both the HOV lane and the adjacent lane on the left were shut down as crews repaired the failed drainage structure and filled a void created under the pavement.  They worked nonstop until the road was fixed.

The repairs will cost about $50,000, according to GDOT.
