GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -

Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies say they found numerous animals living in deplorable conditions at a home in Grayson on Monday

Deputies who were at the home of Barry and Linda Coker serve them an eviction notice found 18 animals living in filthy conditions both inside and outside the home.

Fifteen dogs, a cat, a rabbit and a squirrel were found living both inside and outside the home on Bennett Road.

Deputies say the house was filthy, and some of the animals were in cages in the backyard that were overgrown with weeds.

"They went into the residence and discovered that the residence was very filthy. The living conditions were very unsanitary. A lot of animal feces and urine were inside the home. They also observed that there was no clean food and water for the animals," said Deputy Shannon Volkodav of the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office.

Animal control officers were called to the scene and Linda Coker was given 16 citations for animal neglect.

FOX 5 was told that none of the animals were in poor health and new homes have been found for all of them.

Residents in the neighborhood said that they didn't realize what was going on inside the Coker's home.
