WHITPAIN TWP., Pa. -

Whitpain Township Police are looking for suspects who beat and robbed an elderly couple. According to police, the husband was unpacking the car on the driveway of his home when three males approached and struck him multiple times in the head with a hammer.

After the wife repeatedly pleaded for the assailants to stop the beating, two of the assailants followed the wife into the house and took an undisclosed amount of money, says investigators.

The assailants were described as young black males approximately 5'8" to 5'11" tall with thin builds and thin faces. One of the assailants was wearing red sneakers.

The victims own a business in Philadelphia, and surveillance may have captured a suspect following them home. The unidentified subject is black male who appears to be in his early twenties with an average build approx. 5'10" inches tall. He is wearing black running pants with a green line down the sides, white shirt and red sneakers. This subject may have been operating the silver 4 door sedan similar to a Toyota Corolla, which was also captured on the surveillance video.
